d.hip is a cooperation network of industry, medicine and university research. Eligble for applications are members of the d.hip partner institutions: Siemens Healthineers, University Hospital Erlangen, Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg and Medical Valley EMN.
All information about project submissions and topic areas can be found in the Call for Projects. Proposals can be submitted continuously using the template for the d.hip 2020 single project application and sent in PDF format by email to projects@d-hip.de.
In order to classify your project idea, we need an assessment of how the project realization would impact the advancement of the so-called Technology Readiness Level (TRL), a method for estimation of the maturity of technologies during the acquisition phase of a program. The TRL is a scale to assess the state of development of new technologies based on systematic analysis. Please, indicate on a scale of 1 to 9 to what extent your technology proposal will evolve:
TRL 1: Observation and description of the operating principle
TRL 2: Description of the application of a technology
TRL 3: Proof of the functionality of a technology
TRL 4: Experimental setup in the laboratory
TRL 5: Experimental setup in operational environment
TRL 6: Prototype in operational environment
TRL 7: Prototype in action
TRL 8: Qualified system with proof of functionality in the field of application
TRL 9: Qualified system with proof of successful operation
